eQMS
Electronic quality management system. Where deviations, CAPAs, change controls and documents live once paper is retired.
An eQMS digitizes the quality processes themselves: document control, training records, deviations, CAPA, change control, audits, supplier management. It is usually the most configured system a quality unit owns, which makes it a textbook GAMP Category 4 validation exercise.
The payoff is connectedness. A deviation that links to its CAPA, the affected SOP, the training it triggered and the change it produced gives an inspector a clean narrative, and gives the company metrics paper could never produce.
